Location Recce

Bens House 

The travel to Ben's house would be non as this is a location that we would previously be at and own.

The creativity on using ben location would be the atmosphere and the tone of the bedroom we are going to use is going to match the feel of the film. The technically of using this location is that we would make it look like that the bedroom was placed in Brighton that would flow with the film. The practicality on film at this location is that we already own the location and know that we wont have to book a time to film there and down have to ask permission and have a large amount of time to film.

Brighton Pier

For the Brighton Peer we will be talking a a train from our destination. First we would need to meet up at Goodmayes station, to go towards Stratford station , then from stratford station we will ten talk across west field bridge to Stratford international, we will then talk the national rail to Brighton, we then out of the station have to walk down to the Pier which is 15 mins walks.

Why this location would be suitable is because of the aesthetics of the location, from filming the size of the location would allow us to get a depth of field that would blur the back ground to represent the short film title of blurred. Creatively this would allow us to do it bring a certain feel across to the audience on living by the sea. Practically this location would easy to film in due to our film mostly being film in Brighton near the sea.

Brighton Beach

For the Brighton Peer we will be talking a a train from our destination. First we would need to meet up at Goodmayes station, to go towards Stratford station , then from stratford station we will ten talk across west field bridge to Stratford international, we will then talk the national rail to Brighton, we then out of the station have to walk down to the pier which is 15 mins walks, then after filming we will trun down the strip and walk down to the beach which is 5 mins.

The location would help bring across the creativity of the short film as this would allows us to bring across the vibe of feeling free. The location would also allows us to get lighting that would look cinematic on screen and allows us to get the certain tone. The technicality of filming on the Beach is that it would allows us to get a depth of field look that would focus on the subject. Th practicality on film here is that it is near the pier which we would film after as there not much travel from location to location.

Brighton Bus Stop

For the Brighton Peer we will be talking a a train from our destination. The creativity of filming at this location would be that it would allow us to get a tone and a look of retro feel of having a old bus stop. The technicality of filming at this location would be is that there are many angle that the camera could be placed as there is area around the bus stop that the camera could be placed to fit with the shooting script. The practicality of the location is that it is near the Brighton Pier which would be suitable to film on the same day.

Brighton Town

For the Brighton Peer we will be talking a a train from our destination. First we would need to meet up at Goodmayes station, to go towards Stratford station , then from stratford station we will ten talk across west field bridge to Stratford international, we will then talk the national rail to Brighton, we then out of the station have to walk down to the Pier which is 15 mins walks and film there, then after will will then walk down to the beach which is five mins and film there and then turn around and walk to the direction of the station which is 10 mins which will get us to the bus stop, which is where we will film, then after we will start walking toward the station into the town center where the the post box would be to film.

The creativity of filming in this location would allow us to show a an empty narrow sheet and this would be suitable because the red post box would be a iconic representation of the UK and would confirm to the audience that it was film in UK. Technically due to the long and narrow street it would allow us to emphasis the depth of field and focus on a certain area on screen.The practicality of filming at this location would be suitable as this would be near the other location that we will be filming at Brighton.

Contingency Locations

Southend Beach 

The southend beach is the back up location of the original location in Brighton is unavailable. As this location would represent the similar location that we had wanted.

Southend Bus stop

This is the back up location of the bus top that we may use if the original location is unavailable or is unable to get there.

Southend fair/pier

The Southend Fair/Pier would be our back up location of original Pier that we wanted to film at Brighton. We have kept the similar tone and look that we wanted to have and seen a potential back up.
